About the band

From the unlikely ska capital of the west comes a band of seasoned professionals travelling the United States and Canada serving up a fresh treatment to an old style of music. Drawing on sounds as diverse as a well-stocked mini bar, Provo, Utah's Two and a Half White Guys leaves a trail of cultishly-devoted listeners behind them wherever they go.

Heavy on Jamaican-style groove, the group's sound is best described as ska, rocksteady, reggae, funk and jazz in a blender. Fierce devotion to originality holds this act together. But don't be fooled by the plaintive cry of frontman Nathan Robinson's workingman philosophies, this is a 'good times' band producing a natural musical chemistry enhanced by a dedicated touring schedule (annual trips to both coasts for the past 6 years).

Playing clubs such as The Whisky and The Troubador in Los Angeles, Whiskey Jacque's in Sun Valley, The Knitting Factory in New York City, The Phunky Phish in Long Island, The Black Cat Saloon in Austin, The Alley in Miami and every little watering hole in between, this band works hard for its fans.

Adding to the group's veteran status, members of Two and a Half White Guys have appeared on-stage opening for bands such as The Toasters, No Doubt, The Specials, Cake, Everclear, Bush, Howard Jones, Fishbone, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Slackers, Hepcat, NYC Ska/Jazz Ensemble, Brent Barry, Chris Murray (who also made a guest appearance on Two and a Half White Guys' Self-Titled album) and Dave Wakeling, formerly of the English Beat.

The year 2004 was full of milestones for the hard working sextet: Two and a Half White Guys was officially invited to join the Megalith Records family (www.megalithrecords.com), who sponsored the band's fourth release and second full-length studio album "Leather Jackets and Moustache Wax."

Today, their repertoire includes more than 3 continuous hours of music, 3 studio albums, a live album and another in the works (Half an LP, Self-Titled, Leather Jackets and Moustache Wax, Live at ABG's).

Two and a Half White Guys' unique infusions are well-suited to any venue looking to get people onto the dance floor.
